About the volunteering opportunity
We organize the children's run as part of the Ingolstadt half marathon. The "running kids" should be able to experience more than "just" running 500 or 1,000 meters. We have invited clubs from the Ingolstadt region to present their sport and club life to the participating children.
We need support! Be it in setting up our event location on the Tillywiese, supporting and organizing the presentation of the clubs and, of course, the run itself!
We are also looking for helpers for the Ingolstadt Half Marathon. The 21.1 km through the beautiful old town of Ingolstadt is very helper-intensive and we can use every helping hand.

Your Tasks
We need you for
- Setting up / dismantling the start arch, barrier fences, route banners / advertising banners for the running course and the event location
- Setting up / dismantling the start and finish area incl. supply station after the run
- Start preparation and division of the start groups
- Preparation and handover of medals for our finishers
- Preparation of refreshments at the finish, including handing out drinks and fruit to our "running kids"
- Contact person for the participating clubs
If you would like to help with the half marathon, please choose the time slot from 14:00 to 21:00.
There are many different ways to help out at the half marathon. We would be very happy about your commitment!
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Basically, every helping hand is welcome. Of course, it would be nice if you enjoy working with children.
What to bring
As there is a lot to do, work gloves are an advantage.

Halbmarathon Ingolstadt
We organize the Ingolstadt Half Marathon every year. In addition to the main run over 21.1 km and the Fitness Run, we also organize a children's run "Running Kids". Apart from that, various clubs in the region present themselves so that the participating children can find out about other sports. It is very important to us that children can not only look back on a great event, but also that they are more motivated to participate in sports in clubs.
