About the volunteering opportunity

The children in the pre-school group have requested a children's apartment, which is to be integrated into the group room. In the children's apartment they can spend time, have small play corners and a lot of things that a normal apartment also has - just in children's size.
We are now looking for committed people who would like to build our children's apartment out of wood so that the children can play and retreat here.

Your Tasks

The idea and a concrete concept with a plan are in place. Now we just need a few energetic people to take care of the sawing, building and screwing.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Fun and pleasure in working with wood, as well as manual skills.

What to bring

We can provide materials and tools via our building yard. We also organize the wood. However, if you are a talented craftsperson and prefer to use your own toolbox, you can of course bring your own.

Familienzentrum Schillerstrasse

Under the roof of the family center is a daycare center with 9 groups. Currently, 130 children from 0 to school age are cared for by 50 employees daily from 7 am to 6 pm, if necessary until 8 pm. In the attic of the house there are 4 apartments suitable for senior citizens - these are anchored in the concept. The family centre networks and bundles the areas of care, education, counselling and meeting. It represents a hub in the network, which advises and supports families.
