Gardening campaign at the Montessori children's home Am Seidlkreuz in Eichstätt

Together, we would like to beautify and develop our outdoor area. Along the fence of the kindergarten, the already planted bushes are to be bordered by borders so that the area looks more well-kept and lawn and weeds do not grow onto the neighboring property. The flowerbed in front of the house will also be given a new border to make our entrance area even more inviting. Step by step, we are creating a beautiful garden where children can discover and enjoy their surroundings.

We also need a practical and robust storage solution for our sand toys. We are planning a combination of bench and storage space: two sturdy wooden benches (each approx. 40 cm high, 160 cm long and 40 cm deep) will provide space to sit and at the same time keep the outdoor area tidy. We would like to place three fruit crates under each of the benches, in which the sand toys can be stored within easy reach. This will create a simple, functional solution that will make tidying up easier for the children and make our garden even more practical.

Manual skills are welcome, but not essential. More important are motivation, team spirit and enjoyment of creating concrete added value for children and education.

Please bring weather-appropriate, robust clothing and work gloves if necessary. Work materials such as shovels, hoes, rakes, wheelbarrows and loppers will be provided. If available, you are welcome to bring additional shovels, hoes and wheelbarrows.

We will be happy to provide drinks and coffee, as well as a snack, lunch and cake.
