About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for committed volunteers who would like to help us renovate our kindergarten. Together, we want to create an environment in which the children feel completely at ease and can play carefree.
We are planning various projects for which every helping hand is welcome: we would like to reline the sandpit, build a carport for our vehicle fleet, construct a sales stand, refurbish an existing hut and design a seating area. And if there is still time, we will build a mud kitchen for the children together.
Your Tasks
- Sandpit: refurbishment of the existing concrete surround and installation of rubber mats or log supports
- Carport (vehicle fleet): Construction of a wooden carport including roofing felt and installation of a gutter
- Seating area & sales stand: Construction of a sales stand and a small seating area for the children
- Hut: refurbishment and repainting of the existing hut
- Seating couch: Construction of a seating couch for children within an existing concrete border; additional placement of L-stones to secure the slope
- Optional: Construction of a wooden mud kitchen
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Manual experience is helpful, but not required.
What to bring
Please wear suitable, weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes.
Our site manager is fully involved in the planning and implementation and will ensure that the necessary materials and tools are on site.

Important notice
Children will be in the kindergarten building until 1.30 pm. However, the children will not be actively involved in the implementation of the campaign.
Of course, the volunteers will be well catered for.

The aim of our educational staff is to provide the children - together with their parents - with a variety of experiences and happy moments in everyday life with others in order to prepare them as well as possible for the rest of their lives.
