Turn a hospital hallway into a colorful work of art for young patients

Part of the children’s hospital wing is located in the basement and feels dreary and uninviting, even though children are led through these hallways every day. To help the young patients and their families feel more at ease in these spaces, the walls of the approximately 100- to 150-meter-long hallway are to be decorated with colorful designs. An artist will first sketch out the designs, which you will then color in using the “paint-by-numbers” method. This will transform the gray hospital hallway into a cheerful place that brings a touch of color and joy to the children during their stay. 

You don't need any prior artistic experience—just a desire to color and enjoy working as part of a team.

Please wear safe, appropriate clothing that can get dirty. If possible, bring your own gloves to protect your hands from the paint. All other materials and equipment will be provided on site.

If you have trouble standing for long periods of time or painting while bent over, we recommend bringing a rolling stool.

A light snack will be provided during the breakfast break, along with some cake. If you’d like to eat lunch, you’re welcome to go to the cafeteria.

As a participant, you may bring a private companion (e.g., a partner or children). Please let us know in the automated survey after you register so that we can plan accordingly.
