About the volunteering opportunity
A move is coming up soon at the Haus an der Paar, and many residents are especially looking forward to some company and a change of pace in their daily lives right now.
On this day, you can get involved in two ways: One part of the group will help the maintenance staff load and unload furniture and items that need to be disposed of, while the other part will spend time with the residents, going for walks with them or visiting the nearby ice cream shop together. This way, you’ll not only provide practical help with the move, but also treat the seniors to a nice outing and some genuine companionship.

Your Tasks
- Help load and unload the van: Old wheelchairs, small cabinets, and other furniture are loaded to ensure the move goes smoothly.
- Accompany residents outside and go for a walk together to get some exercise and fresh air.
- If they’re interested, visit the nearby ice cream shop together and enjoy some quality time.
- Just be there to chat, listen, and bring some variety to the residents’ daily lives.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You don't need any special prior experience—just a willingness to pitch in and enjoy interacting with older adults. An open-minded attitude and a friendly disposition are all you need.

Please wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Everything else will be provided on site.
