About the volunteering opportunity
Moving at an advanced age is exhausting and can be unsettling, especially when many people are moving at the same time. That’s exactly what’s in store for the 30 residents of the Haus an der Paar: The facility is moving into the building across the street. On this day, we’ll need lots of helping hands to ensure the move goes smoothly and stress-free. With your support, the senior residents will feel well taken care of and settle into their new home more quickly.
Your Tasks
- Assisting Senior Residents: You’ll accompany the residents to the building across the street and be available if they need assistance or a kind word. This helps them feel safe in their new home right from the start.
- Carrying boxes and belongings: You’ll help carry individual boxes and personal items. You won’t have to carry heavy furniture. This helps get the rooms ready for move-in more quickly.
