Become a player or coach in blind football at FC Ingolstadt

On the training ground of FC Ingolstadt 04, visually impaired young people play blind football on a weekly basis.

Blind football is a Paralympic sport for blind, visually impaired and sighted players. It is played on a 20×40 metre pitch. It is played five against five on 2×3 m goals. All four field players must be visually impaired or blind. To ensure equal conditions for all, all players - with the exception of the goalkeepers - are equipped with dark glasses. This means that sighted people can also take part in blind football. The goalkeepers have the task of directing their defenders in addition to defending goal kicks, for which they are only allowed to move in a small space of 2 meters.

Our team is still looking for visually impaired, blind and sighted players and coaches who would like to learn more about the topic of visual impairment and at the same time bring motivation for football.

After an introductory phase, the new trainer will train the visually impaired football team independently and take over the guidance and organization of the training.

The players will participate in the training together with the already existing team of visually impaired people and can become part of the team if they are interested.

If you are interested in working as a coach, a soccer coaching license is an advantage, but not a must.

Respectful behavior in dealing with people with visual impairments is also required.

Training is held weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
