About the volunteering opportunity
For a physically very fit resident at the scenic Lichtenstern (Löwenstein) site, we are looking for a person who regularly walks or hikes with the resident. The Lichtenstern site is very well suited for this, scenically located with many signposted hiking trails.
Your Tasks
After a familiarization phase and training, walks and small hikes are to be undertaken independently with the resident.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
What is important is the desire and willingness to engage with the resident. He is physically very fit, but needs company. Of course, the desire to move in nature is also an advantage. Specific knowledge or experience in dealing with people with disabilities is not necessary. There is support from professionals on site.
