About the volunteering opportunity
Two new gates are needed for the riding arena of our youth farm club. The current wooden bars are difficult for our farm children, especially the younger ones, to open and are impractical in daily use.
The new gates would make everyday life at the youth farm much easier and contribute to greater safety for the children.

Your Tasks
1) Construction of a swing gate
A stable and easy-to-operate swing gate is built and installed for the riding arena. The tasks include

- Measuring the gate opening
- Setting and stabilizing the gate post
- Professional assembly of the gate with hinges
- Fitting a secure and child-friendly lock
2) Moving a coupling post
As part of the gate installation, an existing gate post is moved. The tasks include

- Loosening the fence material
- Removing the old post
- Placing the post in its new position
- Reattaching and tensioning the fence

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
No special knowledge is required for the commitment.
What to bring
Materials and tools are provided by the association. Volunteers should bring suitable clothing.

The youth farm is a supervised adventure playground with animals for children and young people. Seven ponies of different sizes and breeds, a llama, an alpaca, sheep, goats, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs live on the large grounds of the former Reisachmühle. The site is open to all children and young people of school age.
